New South BBQ competed in their first KCBS sanctioned event August 4-5 in Dillard, Georgia. New South BBQ was one of 57 teams competing in this State Championship, including many of the top teams in the country. New South BBQ placed 3rd in ribs and 7th in pork with an overall finish of 24th. New South BBQ now has their sights set on the competition in Covington at Sherman's Last Burning and will surely looking to improve upon the weekend's success.

New South BBQ is being profiled in the Neighbor Newspapers. On June 15th a reporter and photographer from the Neighbor Newspaper interviewed New South BBQ for a business profile to run in the June 28th edition of the paper. We talked about why we chose to live in Tucker and how and why we started our own BBQ sauce company. Look for us next Wednesday.

New South BBQ finished 2nd at Smokin on the Square in Cartersville, Ga. New South BBQ competed against 10 teams and 16 sauces in the Backyard division. Our Spicy Honey BBQ sauce was the award winning sauce. We had a great time and will be sure to make it back next year. Check out some photos from the competition.
